Project Pink was founded by Ann Murray, who worked at NEWS CENTER before she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Of women aged 45-69 whose cancer was found on a screening mammogram, 94% were alive five years after diagnosis, and 86% ten years after diagnosis. It has also estimated 41,000 breast cancer deaths in 2015. This is the reason the health organizations have been celebrating more and more cancer survivors and have shared their stories of hope and triumph.
