Week of change in Indiana weather

This front will drop our temperatures back into the 80s, but all models are in agreement that rain chances are unlikely. Mostly sunny skies and windy conditions will remain. Those two things working together, will keep us a bit warmer tonight.

Any lingering cloud cover from overnight tonight should quickly fizzle out in the morning, and temperatures will respond nicely in the afternoon with plenty of sunshine. For the rest of the afternoon we will continue to see above average temperatures in the low 90s around the area.

The small cool down will be short lived, highs will be near 90 Wednesday through Friday before another dry cold front moves through early in the weekend.

Will there be rain showers with this cold front?

Meantime, a cold front extending from northern Minnesota to northwestern Oklahoma was moving toward Chicago, and when it arrives, winds will increase, with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour, and sustained winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour. The higher temperatures will be accompanied by clear skies.

Temperatures midweek also will be much more autumnal, with highs in the low 60s, and lows in the mid 40s Tuesday through Thursday. Temperatures will be staying well above normal in the Big Country. Rain isn’t likely but highs Saturday and Sunday will be closer to normal, in the upper 70s and low 80s.
