Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumored Specs, Features, Release Date: Device To Come in

Why this matters: Samsung has been a leader in big gear: it pioneered the phablet category with the Galaxy Note series, pushing the industry to build bigger phones.

Samsung’s known for its incessant product release cycle, so it’s no surprise that manufacturer is already cooking up a new device.

The South Korean company launched its 4.7-inch Galaxy J2 smartphone a few months ago and leaks suggest that the successor of the smartphone is in the pipeline.

No idea on pricing and availability yet-not even a hint from Samsung or AT&T but we’re hoping for this huge tablet to be ready in time for the holidays. Shares of Samsung jumped considerably following news of the company’s earnings guidance, which pushed Samsung’s market capitalization by $13 billion.

“AT&T exclusive, featuring a 5.1” Quad HD Super AMOLED display, and powered by the Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa-core 64-bit processor with a 3500 mAh battery. There was no information given on the sensors, but it’s going to be in the upper tier of the mid-range class thanks to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The Exynos 7422, which was once considered to power the Galaxy Note 5, will be fitted on the Galaxy S7 for the Indian market. Devices like the Galaxy S5 LTE-A and Galaxy S4 LTE-A featured chips compatible with the ultra-fast next LTE speeds of 150 to 300 megabits-per-second offered by carriers in Korea. Current reports claim that Samsung wants to unite its well-performing Exynos CPUs with its own graphics unit in order to become more competitive, the obvious benefit being that the device maker would no longer have to rely on licensing graphics technology from elsewhere. “Well, Samsung supposedly has plans to launch a variant of the Galaxy S7 with that chipset in India”.
