Iran parliament approves nuclear deal
However, parliament insisted that global inspectors would have only limited access to military sites.

A few legal analysts, though, believe Obama may be in the clear since the Iran nuclear deal, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty but an executive order that was not officially approved by Congress.
Japan’s foreign minister said on a visit to Tehran on Monday he hoped Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers would be swiftly implemented because his country wants to benefit from it.
On Sunday, Iran tested a new precision-guided ballistic missile, the first such weapon able to reach its regional arch-enemy Israel, defying a United Nations resolution that bans Iran from developing missiles that could deliver a nuclear warhead. But the final say on all matters of state, including the nuclear deal, rests with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The landmark agreement would curb Iran’s nuclear program in return for the lifting of worldwide sanctions.
Ultraconservative lawmakers repeatedly warned of holes in the text of the agreement and criticised President Hassan Rouhani for suggesting MPs were deliberately delaying the deal.
“They (world powers) didn’t want us to be in the nuclear club, but we are in it, thanks to God”, Zarif said in the session, aired live by state media.
“To follow our defense programs, we don’t ask permission from anyone”, said Hossein Dehqan, Iranian defense minister, adding the new missile is “capable of scrutinizing the targets and destroying them completely”.
“ISIL has never been so close to the city of Aleppo, and this is its biggest advance towards” the country’s pre-war commercial capital, said Abdel Rahman, whose Britain-based group relies on a network of sources on the ground across Syria.
The vote saw 161 in favor of the deal to 59 against, according to IRNA. Iran says its nuclear activity is wholly peaceful.

Only the semi-official Iranian Students News Agency eventually reported the conviction comment, and later in the day state TV broadcast Ejehi’s comment that Rezaian has been convicted.
