Bernie Sanders campaign: Tulsi Gabbard can sit with us at debate

“When I signed up to be vice chair of the DNC, no one told me I would be relinquishing my freedom of speech and checking it at the door”, the congresswoman told the Times.

The Democratic candidates will meet on December 19 in the critical early-primary state of New Hampshire, which is set to hold its nominating contest a few time in February.

Gabbard, the vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Monday on “The Situation Room” she was told her vocal support for more debates had made her “no longer welcome to come to the debate”. There are just six Democratic debates scheduled, half the number of Republican debates.

She said all of the Democratic candidates – right now, Hillary Clinton, Vermont Sen. This time, the candidates could be excluded from the sanctioned debates if they take part in ones that are not approved by the national committee. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and Sen.

Chris Cillizza calls this the five words that guarantee Bernie Sanders won’t be President. Even Clinton, the front-runner, has suggested an openness to adding debates. But in typical Debbie Wasserman Schultz fashion, Gabbard was quickly dismissed from the “cool kids” lunch table, chastized for wearing pink twice in one week, and uninvited from Debbie’s post-debate sleepover party at the Venetian.

Yes, I think any of the candidates on our side of the aisle, who are talking about job creation, making sure we can expand access to health care, build the cornerstones of a middle class life by helping people get a good education and having a secure retirement, any one of our candidates will be chosen and eventually elected as the 45th president of the United States of America because of that contrast.

“I knew there were people who would be unhappy, and I’m not going to change the schedule”.

WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: We’re excited about the first debate coming up on Tuesday.

The number is particularly high because Wasserman Schultz chose the three worst months of the Bush presidency. “It nearly seems as if the DNC doesn’t want the country to tune in and hear from all the Democratic candidates”.

“Democrats as a whole have ceded the national conversation to Republicans”.

Look, between the fifteen Republican candidates who are left – all of whom are trying to out-Trump Donald Trump – by saying, “Yeah let’s kick women”.

Publicly, however, the DNC has denied that it disinvited Gabbard and has sought to play down the tension between party members.

And privately, those close to the committee seem relatively unconcerned about grumbling over debate procedure.
