Usually, the nuance comes. “I don’t care what you say or what anybody says – this will not be a losing locker room ever”. But even if Florida drops one to LSU (far from guaranteed, see below), its chances of emerging as the East champion look pretty darn good right now.

Missouri settled down after the first quarter and limited Florida to 337 yards, including 201 during the last three periods. But, overall, how has the defense changed in the first post-Muschamp year?
Florida ended up winning because the Gators had two successful drives before the Mizzou D took over, and Missouri’s offense managed only one. When he threw another interception in the third quarter – this one returned for a touchdown – he did the same.
Taylor ran for 99 yards on 28 attempts for Florida.
Well, the Tigers probably could have gotten Russell Hansbrough more involved, I guess. Oh, and his team lost a heartbreaker. Florida State won despite Miami’s Brad Kaaya throwing for 405 yards and three touchdowns. He has missed the Gators’ last three games…. That’s been my lone goal for a couple of weeks now.
Missouri: QB Drew Lock. That can add up. In the last two seasons, the Gators defense has held Missouri quarterbacks to 22-of-57 for 171 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions, for a passer rating of 53.27.
Their next challenge is against the nation’s top running back in Fournette. In fact, we played not very good offensively, obviously. Georgia in particular has struggled with the Vols. The Bulldogs haven’t beat Tennessee by more than one score since 2010 despite being demonstrably better each year. That would be peak of the Tigers offense, as they settled for a field goal on their first drive and were held scoreless from then on out.

After picking up four points from their previous two matches in Southeastern Conference play, the LSU Tigers saw their unbeaten run in league play come to an end at James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, on Sunday after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the 12-ranked Florida Gators on the afternoon. He had nine punts for 430 yards while the Tigers’ offense only had 257 yards. On the ground, Kelvin Taylor rushed for 83 yards in 27 attempts. The Aggies’ Nick Jeanty completed 11 of 22 passes for 74 yards.
SWARMING SECONDARIES: Missouri is allowing 154.2 passing yards per game, best in the SEC. 3 Ole Miss wasn’t a fluke. But hey, Florida has only 5 on six. And while Demarcus Robinson had a decent game – 10 targets, 6 catches, 79 yards – nobody else did. The Gators swarmed Lock and turned the Tigers’ backfield into a swamp. “And guess what, next week it’s an even bigger game if you win”. Defensively, the Missouri Tigers yield 154.2 yards in passing and 109.4 yards in rushing. “I didn’t know that”.
“That’s the first time I’ve played against a true defense like that”. Just look at who/what is scheduled to return in 2016 and beyond.
Carolina Band couldn’t make the game, so The Golden Band from Tigerland learned South Carolina’s alma mater and played it during pregame while spelling “LSU” on the field. Grier entered the season in a close competition with Treon Harris.

As good as the LSU secondary is based on potential and talent, there have been a few glaring concerns, namely breakdowns and tackling issues after the Tigers have built second-half leads.
