Steven Spielberg Thinks He’ll Make Indiana Jones 5 With Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford was about 65 when he filmed the fourth movie and going by his present age and form, he might as well pull a fifth one because quite honestly it would be very hard for fans to see anyone else donning the legendary fedora and the whip. The book leans heavily on pop culture references (to a fault), including Steven Spielberg’s own films – which makes his decision to direct Ready Player One a little…odd.

He was tallying the number of movies he did with Ford and Tom Hanks. The 68-year old filmmaker teased, “We’ve gotta figure this out because now, Tom [Hanks] is tied with Harrison Ford: Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies…”

Don’t worry, Spielbergophiles – when the director says he’s removing himself from Ready Player One, we’re not facing another Robopocalypse limbo situation. Director Steven Spielberg just revealed who will star in the next Indiana Jones.

I’ve always said that if they do another Indiana Jones film it should be both a sequel and a reboot.

She made it clear that it will “one day be made inside” Lucasfilm, but did caution that there will be a bit of a wait. Whenever they talked about someone new, Chris Pratt turned out as the sole contender who would prove to be Harrison Ford’s successor. This immediately put him in the running for the title role. The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor denied the rumors in an interview with MTV News. Pratt even said he wouldn’t be intimidated if offered the chance to play the iconic character.

He added, “This movie is going to show why it’s interesting not living in the real world but what we’re missing by not”. It is the fifth installment in the popular series and will follow 2008’s “Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. Indy co-creator and long-time producer George Lucas had a hand in the last sequel, with Spielberg admitting that Lucas was behind the whole convoluted alien storyline.

Adapting books into movies is a hard proposition.
