Wright lost $21,875 for every game he was inactive, per CSN Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco, prompting him to seek a trade or release.

The 49ers announced practice squad guard Andrew Tiller will be elevated to the team’s active roster after releasing veteran cornerback Shareece Wright on Saturday.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Wright is expected to sign with the Baltimore Ravens, who the 49ers play this Sunday at Levi’s Stadium. His agents, Synergy Sports global, has said via Twitter that seven teams are interested in Wright. The Niners were hoping to utilize Wright’s cover skills in sub packages, but when he was not activated for the third game in a row in Week 3, Wright expressed his desire to play elsewhere.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Tiller was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft and was waived on August 31, 2013. Tiller, 26, was on the 49ers’ practice squad a year ago before being promoted to the active roster in December.

Wright started all 27 games in which he appeared for the San Diego Chargers the past two seasons.
