“He raped and pillaged his way through America”, she protests. In a creatively sadistic rant, the two brainstorm ways to stick it-quite literally-to Mr. Columbus. In the Broad City web exclusive below, rather than taking off of work, Glazer wants to go into her office just to disrespect Columbus’ ghost. Which, given her past career ambitions, is about as powerful of a statement as she can make.
Did you have to work on Columbus Day this year? This last item intrigues Abbi, as she has many pending print jobs, including coupons and various “hot pics of celebs”. Columbus Day marks the anniversary of of the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas in 1492.
After Abbi serenades Ilana with an original tune about public holidays in a stella Eddie Vedder voice, the pair then agree to celebrate a much better Chris Columbus – the one who directed the Home Alone films.
