CD PROJEKT RED launched the highly anticipated “Hearts of Stone” expansion for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” this morning. Anyone in North America that purchased the special boxed edition of Hearts of Stone (that included physical Gwent Cards) at GameStop in North America will have to wait up to several weeks to receive their purchase. The developer has said the delay was caused by “logistical problems” that will affect the delivery of the games for “several days” after its release date. “We are working with GameStop to fix this situation as soon as possible and deeply apologize for the inconvenience”.

According to the official description from the developers, CD PROJEKT RED, the new expansion will, “take Gerald on an all-new adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass”.

Accompanying a press release that was released with the launch of the first expansion, Hearts of Stone, it was revealed that the DLC will now be available in the first half of 2016 which essentially is the first and second quarter of the year. Although the base game “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” itself is already a massive open-world exploration role-playing game, the new DLC will greatly expand both content and story for the current title. The download size of Hearts of Stone on PC is 2.3GB (GOG and Steam), on Origin it is approximately 4GB, on PlayStation 4 it is 2.4GB (depending on your SKU) and on Xbox One it is 5GB.
