Saudi king reaffirms commitment to hajj after Iran criticism

A 58-year-old Indian woman suffered serious injuries, allegedly from her Saudi sponsor.

“Chopping of hand of Indian lady – We are very much disturbed over the brutal manner in which Indian lady has been treated in Saudi Arabia (sic)”, wrote External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Twitter on Friday.

The attack follows another high-profile incident in early September in which two Nepali maids accused a Saudi Arabian embassy official in Delhi was accused of raping, assaulting, starving and holding them hostage. The family now wants her recovery and safe return.
