EA did not offer any details on why voice chat was not included in the PC version of the game, but it could be chalked up to DICE’s experience with Battlefield 4. So far Darth Vadar, Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett have been revealed, although it looks like Han Solo, Princess Leia and the Emperor are Star Wars Battlefront characters as well. There are no Heroes, Villains or vehicles in Droids mode so the match is determined by your gunfighting skills and teamwork. It drops in at a whopping $50, which goes on top of the game.

There is also a Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition announced as well. It’s jaw-droppingly gorgeous, the gameplay mechanics are equally fluid, and the sheer geekasms I get moment to moment check that “Star Wars fantasy-fulfillment” box just in the limited access I had-this feels like a proper Star Wars game. Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass owners will also secure two-week early access to each expansion pack and an exclusive “Shoot First” emote. Whoever kills the Hero or Villain will become them and try to outlast the competition. That’s because the Ultimate Edition includes all the bonuses (five in-game items) of the $70 Deluxe Edition.
As far as single-player offerings, we already know about the Survival Mode, which acts like a Horde mode for one or two players to tackle together.

To be clear, these days all video games have season passes. Will you be getting a Season Pass? Which is pretty curious for the genre of game it is. For example, EA is only confirming that users will get four different expansions. Sometimes that’s not always the case. Sometimes add-on content can be too short or buggy, another problem that plagued Batman: Arkham Knight’s season pass.
