Prince Charles to head down under for a ‘birthday barbie’
During their stay the couple will also visit Turangawaewe Marae, the seat of New Zealand’s Maori King.

Other royals to have visited the marae include Charles’ siblings Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

The travel plans of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, during their November tour down under have been revealed.
During Conservation Week in New Zealand, the heir to the throne and his wife will learn about the ongoing work being undertaken to preserve native species at Orokonui Eco-Sanctuary.
The Prince, on his 15th visit to Australia, will celebrate his 67th birthday on November 14 with a barbecue on the beach in Cottesloe, a suburb of Perth.
The two will visit the national war memorials of both countries, and will be in the Australian capital Canberra for Remembrance Day on November 11, marking the end of hostilities the First World War.

Their trip will take in Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Albany where they will mark the centenary of Gallipoli by visiting the new National Anzac Centre to view the point from which troop convoys departed.
Ahead of her 2012 visit to Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand, she flew to India to stay at a holistic health centre specialising in dawn yoga sessions and therapeutic ayurvedic massages.
But in recent years, the popularity of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children has dampened enthusiasm for replacing the monarch with a president, with Prince George being dubbed the “republican slayer” after proving a hit with the Australian public.
On Saturday the Royal couple head to Nelson where they will attend the Nelson Market and attend a food and wine event.
The Prince of Wales will also travel to Westport and participate in the Defence Force’s Exercise Southern Katipo. The Duchess will return to Wellington and visit the SPCA. It is not confirmed whether King Tuheitia will be present, however, the visit will include a salute to the royal couple from a fleet of waka on the Waikato River.

November 9 and 10: The pair will travel to New Plymouth where they will attend Tea with Taranaki at Brooklands Park. There will be many opportunities for Prince Charles and Camilla to meet various people in both rural and urban areas in both countries.
