Power rankings: Frys.com Open

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour launched on PS4 and Xbox One back in July, but its limited amount of content left our reviewer disappointed.

The past two Frys.com winners, Jimmy Walker and defending champ Sang-Moon Bae, are skipping the official 2015-16 PGA Tour season opener in Napa for different reasons. In the tournament’s debut last season at the Silverado Resort and Spa’s North Course, Hoge missed the cut by one on rounds of 74-70. He has finished in the top 25 in four straight events.

He only needs $US44,465 to get conditional status and a fitter Lyle is brimming with confidence. He has placed 16 or better in seven of his last eight events.

“The finish line is coming up a lot quicker now and I have to be always 100 per cent ready to go”.

“I have enjoyed training harder”. This will be both golfers’ second time in a PGA Tour game.

“Hopefully all the work I have been doing will help”.

“I am really looking forward to putting my game in tournament conditions again”.

Even though he lost his No. 1 ranking over the course of the year, with American Jordan Spieth and Australian Jason Day moving past him, McIlroy’s Northern California star certainly has added luster after the 26-year-old from Northern Ireland won the WGC World Match Play event at San Francisco’s TPC Harding Park in early May.

Lyle’s T31 at Silverado a year ago was his best result in his 10 2014-15 starts.

The Frys.com tourney offers a purse of $6 million and is the first of six Fall Series events that kicks off a new season on the PGA Tour.
