Police say Olridge had an encounter with Clark, his neighbor, while on his way to work.
Olridge became a Memphis Police Department officer in September 2014.
An on leave Memphis, Tennessee, cop was shot different times and killed in obscure circumstances, the city’s police chief said Sunday, including points of interest are, “extremely scrappy.”
The men exchanged gunfire, and Olridge was shot, the AP reported.
“We just got a call, told us he’d been shot on his way to work, that he made his way back to the door a few kind of way”, he said.
Memphis police officer Terence Olridge was one year into his service on the force, engaged, and expecting a child.
“He has a fiancée that is four months pregnant right now”, Armstrong said.
Brownlee declined to give further details or say whether more charges would be filed in the case.
“And it just doesn’t get any easier”. Court records do not show if Clark has a lawyer. ‘I didn’t think that we’d be here again so soon’.
Olridge “was shot multiple times” and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Armstrong said at a news conference on Sunday.
His death comes only two months after Officer Sean Bolton was fatally shot. Meantime, Clark will be in court Tuesday morning.
Memphis police said the investigation of the shooting is ongoing. Neighbors later told the station that she thought she heard as many as 15 gunshots. Uniformed officers also were on the scene.

Speaking to WREG, Olrdige’s uncle Jerry Kelly said “It’s a very sad situation”. An ex-convict has been charged with first-degree murder in his death, the Associated Press reported. “It wasn’t very long ago that I stood in close proximity to where I am standing now, and said something very, very similar to what I’m saying here”.
