Thacher’s cell phone – which was missing from the vehicle – last pinged several miles north of where her auto was found. Hours later, it was turned off. Her mother said that she was visiting Santa Barbara to see friends. Santa Barbara County Air Support has conducted aerial searches of the areas near where her auto was found and her cell phone was traced.
“She checked into the Super 8 Hotel”. She said she would.
Authorities do not now believe there has been any foul play. Jacquelyn said that her daughter does not have a history of mental illness.
Dianne Thacher’s household stated she traveled from Nevada to California to satisfy up with associates from highschool. One of Dianne’s professors said she had not been to class since the third week of the semester.
Thacher is described as 5-foot-5, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
