Panthers LB Luke Kuechly out of concussion protocol

After one week, it became apparent to Kuechly his concussion would take time to subside completely.

Luke Kuechly has been cleared by an independent doctor after missing the past three game with a concussion, according to multiple reports.

Sitting out is not Kuechly’s thing. “We’ll just take it one day at a time”. “That was probably the most hard part, knowing that you can’t really tough it out”.

A few weeks Kuechly would be on the practice field with his teammates doing light, non-contact exercises as he tried to progress through the protocol. The Panthers had a bye last week.

Luke Kuechly, who was concussed during the first game of the season, could play Sunday.

But Klein doesn’t have Kuechly’s speed, sideline-to-sideline quickness and ability to anticipate where the ball is headed. Carolina was able to go 4-0 even without Kuechly playing for most of the first four games. “You can’t go out and play with your friends”.

Although Seattle is 2-3 on the season, they’re unbeaten at home and have defeated the Panthers four times in the past three seasons, including a 31-17 victory in the NFC divisional playoffs last season.

Kuechly, the best inside linebacker in football, will solidify Carolina’s defense nicely.

“I never sought any information from anybody”, Rivera said. “He doesn’t get exhausted. Luke is like Superman”.

Late in the second quarter against Jacksonville, Kuechly went to tackle running back T.J. Yeldon. You have headaches, stuff’s just quite not right. “I know she’s listening. Well, I knew I had one”.

In 2013, Kuechly won the NFL’s defensive player of the year award.

“There were times where you could tell it was frustrating him”, Rivera said.
