Rain and dropping temperatures for Albany area

During the evening, there is a 20 percent chance of rain in the forecast with a low of 48.

The weather service issued a hazardous weather outlook Tuesday morning for the possibility of “unseasonable cool” and freezing temperatures forecast to arrive by week’s end.

The shortened work week will start with showers and a spike in humidity that is expected to fade with the day Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain and clouds are expected to keep high temperatures at 81 Saturday and a cool 77 degrees Sunday.

Skies will again be clear Wednesday with a high of 72.

Sunday also is expected to reach into the high 30s.

There will be a few breaks of sunshine throughout the day, especially later in the afternoon. Thursday also is shaping up as sunny and dry with highs only in the low 60s even in urban areas.

Friday: Mostly sunny. High temperature around 62 degrees, low temperature around 39 degrees. The actual cold front doesn’t push through until midday, until then we remain unsettled with a chance for showers.
