According to Blabbermouth, Castronovo pleaded guilty to two counts of assault in the forth degree constituting domestic violence, two counts of menacing constituting domestic violence, unlawful use of a weapon and coercion.
Journey drummer Deen Castronovo has been sentenced to four years probation after pleading guilty to domestic abuse.
On Monday, a Salem judge sentenced the drummer to four years probation plus ordered him to undergo domestic violence and drug counseling. The Marion County District Attorney’s Office said if he fails to meet his probation requirements, he faces being sentenced to more than five years in prison.
The ruling was made a week before Castonovo was due to go to trial. He was charged with assault, menacing, criminal mischief, coercion and a weapons charge.
Castronovo was slapped with a number of charges, including rape, in September.
Ultimately, Castronovo faced 15 charges.
The drummer was arrested again later in the month of June after police found that he had texted the woman involved in the original charges 122 times and called her 35 times despite their being a no-contact order in place.
As part of his plea agreement, the remaining charges were dismissed.
In mid-April, Castronovo presented a $10,000 donation to South Albany High School to help replace band equipment lost in a devastating fire.
