Those insane (attention-craving?) enough to take the challenge must pay a $150 participation fee, and any vomiting results in disqualification, the HuffPo story said.
“Giving away the restaurant seemed like the ideal prize”.
“If you are going to eat a massive amount of food in a single sitting, you deserve real compensation”, owner Victor Robey told the paper. A few restaurants will put your name on the wall.
You have one hour to eat 30 pounds of rice, beans, salsa, steak, chicken, and pork.
With an average burrito weighing in at about one pound, the accomplishment is probably physically impossible (and Don Chingon will not guarantee anyone’s safety or be held responsible), but one NYC writer tried. They also caution to be careful not to discharge any bodily fluids of any kind because your efforts will be wasted.
Robey told the paper that the gargantuan, cookie-sheet sized meal weighs more than twice the 14.25 pounds that world champion competitive eater Joey Chestnut was able to gulp down.

Of course, there are a few stipulations for the contest that starts on October 19.
