Last week production officially began for the upcoming Bridget Jones’s Baby movie. It’s not clear what role the former Grey’s Anatomy star will have. Tom and Shazzer are Bridget’s best friends in the movie. This scene was speculated to be the early stages of Bridget’s pregnancy.

Working Title is producing the film, based on Helen Fielding’s bestselling book series, which sees Zellweger reprising the title role along with Colin Firth as love interest Mark Darcy and Patrick Dempsey taking on a new role in Jones’s life. & Renee Zellweger filmed a scene in that was typical of the cordial Bridget Jones while out in London’s Borough Market on Tues.The scene for the upcoming Bridget Jones’ Baby saw the congenial blonde slip a few cash to a homeless guy in exchange for a replica of The Big Difficulty as she returned to her apartment. Presuming Maguire and Nicholls want to keep the story focused, one would assume that Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver won’t be considered, given that the actor has opted not to be a part of Bridget Jones’ Baby. Further details were kept concealed.

The first official image for Bridget Jones’ Baby has been released by Working Title’s Twitter account, but there’s something noticeably missing. Still, the series has been enormously popular with the first two pictures making more than $500 million combined worldwide, and it remains one of Zellweger’s most popular roles, having landed her the first of her three Oscar nominations.
