The Cupertino-based tech giant has released this update on Monday afternoon, but did not share more details about it. As per the released notes from Apple, developers should take time to look out for the remaining problems related to PhotoKit, UIKit, iCloud Keychain, and Restore.

It is also worth noting that the first iOS 9.1 beta has brought new features and compatibility updates for the iDevices.

It’s the fifth edition of iOS 9.1, with Apple clearly looking to iron out any kinks in the software before its official rollout to all iPhone and iPad users.

At the same time, Mac Rumors pointed out that Apple has already blocked the signing of iOS 8.4.1 and iOS 9, as their way to prevent the hack that could happen on an iOS 9.0.1 jailbreak download. Jailbreaker Luca Todesco has only recently found a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 which he’s proudly shared with the world via Twitter.

On September 16, Apple released iOS 9.0, during the launch event of the iPhone 6S. The iPad Pro is rumored to launch as early as later this month, with in-store availability arriving early next month. This means that iOS 9.1 could release at a few point later this month. Well-known jailbreak developer iH8sn0w successfully discovered an iOS 9 jailbreak, complete with untether, and even posted a video to prove its legitimacy.

Apple users who have downloaded and installed iOS 9 will have to wait a little bit longer for a working jailbreak. However, iH8sn0w didn’t reveal any of the exploits that were used, and it’s likely that he’ll never reveal that information. As mentioned a number of times on Scribbal, TaiG and Pangu appear to be waiting for iOS 9.1 prior to issuing a new utility to jailbreak iOS 9. The software is presumed to release in November as the debut operating system for the upcoming iPad Pro.
