The CW has been striking it rich in the ratings with its DC Comics-based shows: both Arrow and The Flash have been setting personal records for the network.
During an interview with ComicBook.com, the full text of which will run tomorrow, actor Neal McDonough, who plays the character, mentioned his appearances on the other CW superhero series, and The CW has confirmed the appearances. Going back in time with “Legends, ‘ and ‘The Flash” – with ‘The Flash, ‘ I’m just this insane, fun, enjoy everything while I kill everybody type of character. Our rule is that when try to interfere in events that you participated in, that creates a time paradox, and black holes, and disgusting things happen.
He also seemed to imply – but stopped short of actually saying – that the centuries-old Damien may have a few relationship with Legends of Tomorrow big bad Vandal Savage.

As for the reason for the crossover, we feel like a huge part of it is most likely tied to just how much the show wants to make Damien and HIVE into formidable opponents.

While the element of time travel is evident in both “Legends of Tomorrow” and “The Flash”, it is still uncertain at this point if Darhk’s story arc would exactly meet the present storyline of the “Arrow” series. “Legends of Tomorrow” arrives on the scene in 2016.
