Earlier today Acer and Microsoft held a joint press conference in Taipei, Taiwan to introduce a new portfolio of Windows 10 devices to the public.

Sticking with the industry trend of two-in-one devices, the Aspire R 14 is a laptop with a display that can fold over without gaps, turning it into a tablet.
If you’re interested in picking up a massive tablet for using around the house but also fancy a new desktop PC, Acer’s Windows 10-powered Acer Z3-700 fits the bill.
Yes, Acer says that a smartphone, a mobile device that you mostly keep in your pocket, will come with a dock that connects to a monitor or TV, turning the smartphone into a PC. The Aspire R14 is a convertible notebook while the Aspire z3-700 is a portable all-in-one PC.
With a starting price of $699 – around £570 with Value-Added Tax included – the Aspire R 14 looks like a competitive entry into the premium convertible market.
The Aspire Z3-700 will be available in the EMEA region by the end of the year, with prices starting from 599 euros, according to Acer.
Now that Microsoft announced and demoed Windows 10 with Continuum on its Lumia 950 at its devices event, the Windows 10 tour seems to have unveiled another discovery. The manufacturer boasts that this new 14-inch 2-in-1, which runs Intel’s 6th generation Core processors, has been optimized for Windows 10, with support for Continuum and Cortana.
Pricing for the Acer Aspire Z3-700 have not been announced.
The Acer Aspire R14 2in1 device will have to go against Dell’s XPS 14 and the Lenovo Yoga 14 inch line. It is powered by Intel Pentium or Celeron processors, has up to 8GB of DDR3L system memory, and SSD or HDD storage options. The Acer Aspire R 14 is a notebook that has a flippable display. It also offers MU-MIMO for faster downloads than 802.11ac products.

The Aspire Z3 AiO, the company’s first Windows 10 all-in-one (AiO) features a 17.3-inch FullHD display with 10-point capacitive touch, included stylus, and two legs in back that can be used to prop up the display at an angle on a table for use as a large tablet. This model offers a few other choices for the customer, including RAM (up to 8GB), and build (solid-state or mechanical disc). What we can not confirm for now, is the price tag of the Acer Jade Primo.
