GLEN MILLS, PA June 30, 2015: -It’s the moment Jeff Gordon fans have been waiting for – Axalta’s Rainbow paint scheme will make its swan song appearance.

Bristol’s bright bulbs won’t be the only thing illuminating the speedway for an August 22 night race.

“The reason why we’re bringing it out is because Twitter, Facebook, and social media – they want this auto out on the track”, Gordon said.

Gordon credits fans for the chance to get back behind the wheel of the rainbow auto one last time before riding into retirement. “We owe it to fans and our long-time customers who love the sport”. He won three of his four career championships and 52 of his 92 career series victories with the colorful paint scheme.

Gordon has five wins at the famed half-mile track referred to as, “The Last Great Coliseum”.

The design originally appeared on Gordon’s No. 24 DuPont vehicle (DuPont has since rebranded as Axalta). The NASCAR driver showed some Penn State pride as he shouted the traditional “We Are” into the mic before taking the Penn State-Axalta race vehicle for a drive around the campus.
