Tracy Morgan returns to comedy after horror smash

In the first promos as host of Saturday Night Live, the 46-year-old comedian is as hilarious – and sharp – as ever.

The “30 Rock” hunk is featured in a series of promotional videos, accompanied by Bobby Moynihan, and he’s not afraid to poke a little fun at himself.

In take two, Moynihan said it was an honor to have the funnyman back on “SNL”, where he worked from 1996 to 2003. “I can’t remember anymore”. He also plans on getting everyone in the building pregnant, of course. Morgan spent seven seasons on the NBC sketch show. He reportedly joked about his speech therapy during the gigs, according to Refinery29. “When I finally regained consciousness, I was just ecstatic to learn that I wasn’t the one who messed up”.

In June 2014, Morgan was critically injured in a vehicle accident in New Jersey, when a Wal-Mart freight truck collided with his limo bus. Morgan’s friend, James McNair was killed in the crash. Morgan’s homecoming to the SNL stages comes 12 years after the actor-comedian moved on from the show’s cast to pursue other prospects.

Morgan appeared at the Comedy Cellar in New York.

Although he returned to TV for a surprise appearance at the Emmys last month, this is his big return to the small screen to show off his comedic chops once again.

Morgan will be hosting SNL on October 17 with musical guest Demi Lovato.
