On the same day when Duchess Kate gave birth to the royal baby, the new heir to the throne of England, Penelope Cruz gave birth to her 2nd child, a daughter who is yet to get an official name.

Penelope Cruz is a Spanish actress known for remaining aloof as she does not talk to the media often. Her husband also does not like to be dragged into limelight for reasons other than their professional lives. Only recently she remarked that she would like her kids to be raised in total privacy. She added that she and Javier do not like invasion of their privacy just because they happen to be actors. The couple started dating way back in 2007 and married in 2010. They have a son named Leonardo and now with the arrival of a daughter the family looks picture perfect.
Penelope and Javier are delighted that the attention of the world was focused upon the royal baby and that their baby arrived in total privacy at Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid, Spain. Penelope was seen sitting at a music concert in Madrid only last week. She was looking beautiful as ever and glowing with the impending motherhood. Leo, who is 2 now, was sitting next to his mother at the music festival. Penelope’s daughter arrived a few hours after the birth of the royal baby in London. The only statement about the mother and the child came out from the publicist of the actress who said that both the baby and the mother are doing well and Penelope is very happy and excited with the birth of her daughter. The news about her 2nd pregnancy came out in February this year.
The daughter of Penelope is the 2nd child of the couple who first met way back in 1992 when they starred opposite each
other in a comedy movie called Jamon, Jamon. Incidentally, both Javier and Penelope have won Academy Awards. Cruz is 39 while Javier is 44. ‘Motherhood is overwhelming’, Penelope had said after she gave birth to Leo in 2010. It is an experience that is beyond words. You prepare for the arrival of the baby after 9 months but the moment he arrives, you are transformed as soon as you take a first look.

In 2012, Penelope had expressed her desire to give more time to her family. She had said that she would make only one movie a year from now onwards as she has other priorities in life too.
