Ghana and Canada settled for a 1-1 stalemate in an global friendly match played on Tuesday night.

Ghana were without several key players including Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew, Christian Atsu, Baba Rahman, Jonathan Mensah and Kwadwo Asamoah due to injury and administrative issues.

US-based Harrison Afful and Leicester City’s Jeffery Schlupp will be on the right and left side of defence respectively while Edwin Gyimah partners John Boye at the heart of defence.

De Jong found the back of the net in the 29th minute, beating Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah.

Junior Hoilett was one of six players making their debut for Canada at RFK Stadium.

“First half we didn’t play well, but in second half we dominated the game completely and had the chances to win the game”.

The Black Stars who enjoyed possession in the first half, drew level after Albert Adomah’s scored minutes before the first half break.

However, Canadians continued their dominance with Lucas Cavellini coming close.
