Ahmad Bradshaw to Colts

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw re-signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, the team announced.

In two seasons with the Colts, Bradshaw has rushed for 611 yards and four touchdowns (4.7 yards per carry) and caught 45 passes for 342 yards and six scores.

Also, in June, the NFL suspended Bradshaw one game for violating the league’s program of substance abuse policy (marijuana possession).

Signing Bradshaw could easily kill two birds with one stone. Bradshaw return to the Colts after being let go following the 2014 season. General manager Ryan Grigson’s ill-fated trade for Trent Richardson didn’t pan out, and the Colts could use a viable playmaker like Bradshaw to share time with aging veteran Frank Gore. “There’s more!” Bradshaw is a great change of pace alternative to the bruising running styles of Gore, Robinson, and Varga.

Head coach Chuck Pagano praised Bradshaw last week after Bradshaw had worked out for the team.

Ahmad Bradshaw and the Indianapolis Colts are hoping the third year is the charm. Only once in his eight seasons has Bradshaw played all 16 games. “He’s a warrior and we’ll see what happens”.
