Speaking to Bloomberg’s New Energy Finance Summit, Palmer said: “We’re talking about an electric Aston Martin with between 800 and 1,000 horsepower-imagine having all that torque on demand”.
Aston Martin unveils James Bond’s new supercar, the DB10, featured in 007’s latest movie, “Spectre”.

The move presents the chance of 007 going all-electric in the future.
The 102-year old company, which had a total workforce of around 2,100 at the start of the year, said in a statement it hoped to minimise the number of job cuts by offering early retirement, voluntary redundancies and not recruiting for current open positions.

The 102-year-old company is clocking losses and is planning to diversify production including with electric cars, British media reported. Although he believes the entire vehicle industry is facing an inevitable shift into electric drivetrains because of the rising cost of traditional engines and the tightening rules regarding the environmental impact of these engines, Aston Martin will continue to go after the big guys with its big engines. In a recent interview, Andy Palmer – CEO of Aston Martin – announced that the company plans to step into the all-electric market and produce a battery-powered variant of the Rapide by 2017. Project that into the future. Electric power gives you that power.
