Bear roams hallway at Bozeman High School

After quickly realizing schools are not almost as fun as the wilderness, he found another open door and exited the building.

Once outside, the bear scampered off into a few woods near the school, never to be heard from again.

School officials say there is no threat to students at this time.

As human development encroaches on wildlife’s habitats, encounters with wild animals – including bears – are on the increase, according to National Geographic. Last October, a bear cub turned up in a California pharmacy.

The Park County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident; Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is now investigating.

Both black and grizzly bears need sufficient reserves of fat in order to hibernate and survive the winter, Neil Anderson, Montana wildlife program manager, told Reuters. They are also very tolerant of humans.

Officials said the bear was not caught, but instead ushered into a field north of the high school and it has not been seen since.

After completing a full tour of the Montana school, the studious bear is said to have decided against enrolling, surprisingly.
