Pictures of the bedroom where Becky Watts was allegedly suffocated were released today.

Matthews & Hoare – who prosecutors claimed have an “unnatural interest in attractive handsome females” – have pleaded not guilty to homicide & kidnapping charges.

The house was one of three key locations in the murder trial which the ten women and two men in the jury visited this morning.

Hoare told police she thought Becky had left her home in a “tantrum”.

Hoare, of Cotton Mill Lane, Bristol, denies all five similar charges.

The footage of Hoare laughing was shown to the jury during the trial.

The judge had earlier warned the jury that the police had completely emptied the house as part of their inquiries and although everything had been returned it may not be in the same position or even the same room as before.

Jurors walked around the ground floor of the property, into the conservatory and then through to the garden where they were able to look up to Becky’s bedroom window.

The court was also shown a video of Hoare’s police interview.

She said Becky was not shy and could manipulate people to get her own way.

Here Matthews is accused of chopping up Becky’s body with an electric circular saw in the bathroom.

“I know a lot of people thought she may have been doing it for attention because she got a lot more special treatment like being taken to her new school in a taxi”.

A initial police search of their house was delayed after officers found the home of self-confessed “hoarder” Matthews was so filled with rubbish that one detective expressed “disgust” to his colleague, the court heard.

Hoare added: “She believed life would have been much better if she had gone into foster care”.

The jury were taken to see Becky’s bedroom in her semi-detached house in Bristol, where prosecutors claim she was suffocated on the day she vanished on Thursday February 19. Matthews, Hoare and two others accused of helping them hide the remains exercised their right not to attend.

“She knew that with Anjie if she moaned enough she would get it”, Hoare said.

It is alleged Matthews bought an £80 power saw from B and Q the next day and later used it to dismember Becky’s body in the bathroom of the couple’s home.

Watts’ stepbrother Nathan Matthews, 28, & his lady friend, 21-year-old Shauna Hoare, have been charged with the teenager’s February homicide.

He admits killing Becky, perverting the course of justice, preventing burial of a corpse and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Mr Matthews of Hazelbury Drive in Warmley, South Gloucestershire has admitted manslaughter but denies murder and conspiracy to kidnap.
