Knight’s lawyers have requested a delay in the hearing, but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen has previously told them he intends to proceed with the hearing.

While in court yesterday, Knight wanted to wish his six-year-old son a happy birthday.
Knight, 50, is the co-founder of the hip hop label Death Row Records.
Billboard reports that Marion “Suge” Knight and Katt Williams are set to stand trial on charges of robbery after they reportedly took a camera from celebrity photographer Leslie Redden previous year.
He has pleaded not guilty in the “hit-and-run” case.
Attorneys for Williams and Knight said their clients were trying to prevent the photographer from shooting images of Knight’s son.
Suge Knight claims that the incident was her fault, as she supposedly took photos of his son behind a film studio in an alley without permission shortly after Knight was shot in an L.A. nightclub. She added that she did not take any photos of the child and was intent on getting pics of Williams and not Knight. He also faces a murder charge for allegedly running down Straight Outta Compton adviser Terry Carter with his vehicle in a parking lot after the two had a disagreement.
“The only evidence that exists is he didn’t want his son photographed”, Mesereau said. Reportedly, Williams was the one who actually stole the camera as ordered by Suge Knight, but Redden herself put the video on streaming website, YouTube.
‘Any father would have acted as he did’. The judge made this decision after a video surfaced of Knight reportedly ordering the robbery of the paparazzi photographer the New York Daily News reported.

On Tuesday, Redden testified she hit her head multiple times during the subsequent assault and ended up with a concussion as well as long term physical damage that impacts her ability to work. Both Knight and Williams have pleaded not guilty and will be re-arraigned on October 27.
