Wegmans lists Halloween candy by allergen

FACET also invites the community to the FARE Walk for food allergies.

The organization Food Allergy Research and Information launched a national campaign past year called the Teal Pumpkin Project to raise awareness of food allergies and promote the inclusion of all trick-or-treaters throughout the Halloween season.

Started in 2014 by FARE, the Teal Pumpkin Project encourages understanding toward those with food allergies.

“No part of it is asking people to get rid of candy, they’re just asking people, would you consider something that’s not candy”, she says. Reed High School and Juniper Elementary in Sparks will both offer non-food treats at upcoming events.
