This year, Virginia is offering online registration through the Department of Elections online system available at elections.virginia.gov/register to check their registration status, update their information, or register to vote for the first time, a release said.
Tuesday is the voter registration deadline.
The secure online system will take voters through the application process step-by-step and allow users to sign the application using their Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles credentials.
Absentee voting is underway in the City of Falls Church for the upcoming General Election on November 3.
Absentee ballot applications may be hand-delivered, mailed, faxed, or emailed to their local voter registration office. Qualifying reasons are located on the last page of the absentee application.
The state Department of Elections launched its new Citizens Portal Wednesday morning, expanding on the department’s online voter registration system, which has been successful.
