Donald Trump to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ in November

The Republican presidential frontrunner will headline the NBC comedy show on 7 November, the network announced on Tuesday.
Trump’s appearance comes one day short of the one year mark toward election day, which is November 8, 2016, NBC News pointed out. During that appearance, Trump called himself as “a ratings machine” and promoted his then-new reality show, “The Apprentice”. “And as everyone in this room knows, highest-paid means best”.
This afternoon, Fox News’ Shepard Smith weighed in on Trump’s SNL invite, tearing into the network for cutting business ties to Trump but inviting him to host the popular show.
So, folks, will you be watching the Donald Trump episode of Saturday Night Live? It will be the billionaire businessman’s second time hosting, following a stint in April 2004.
But since then, Trump has only gotten more thin-skinned, which makes him that much easier to lampoon.
Although Hillary’s Saturday Night Live appearance received good reviews, a few observers noted that Hillary got off rather light when it came to the jokes at her expense.
But all that seems to have changed, as NBC appears to have forgiven Trump for his past remarks, much to Shep Smith’s amusement.
Fences were mended in September, when Trump sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

Democratic contender Hillary Clinton took her October. 3 guest spot to another level when she appeared on the season opener as a wise bartender named Val, serving Hillary Clinton played by Kate McKinnon. Trump was also skewered in the season premiere’s opening sketch. But he’s always been a fixture of the show in apt portrayals by SNL alum Darrell Hammond and, most recently, cast member Taran Killam.
