Sony RX1R II Packs In 42.4MP

There’s also a variable optical low-pass filter, something few would be able to identify but is nonetheless a valuable feature for serious shooters. Data transmission and output is 3.5x faster than the original model, and there’s a fixed lens; the latter is necessary due to the high resolution and other features. Boasting a 42.4-megapixel full-frame sensor, the RX1R II crams a lot of camera into a superbly tiny package. Joining the 42.4MP full-frame sensor is a 30-percent increase in auto focus response speed over the RX1 cameras. It lets the photographers select if they want more sharpness (filter turned off) or reduced moire patterns (filter turned on).

It will be the first camera to be sporting an optical variable low-pass filter, which gives the pro photographers the option to turn the low pass filter on or off. It will start selling in November for $3,299 (approx Rs 2,14,000).
