Notify: The news app from Facebook to launch soon
The app will reportedly allow users to aggregate their favorite content into real-time notifications. The social networking giant is reportedly working on a real time news application.

According to screenshots posted within the report, users will be able to choose between stations like Vevo, HuffPo, Buzzfeed, while also selecting a range of other ‘providers’. Instead of focusing on aggregating the news itself, the app appears to pull together the next best thing: headline notifications from your preferred news sources.
If it becomes a fully-fledged app, Notify will add another facet to Facebook’s ever-growing interest in news.
“Facebook seeks to expand its functionalities to something much more than just a social network — the most popular one in the world if it makes any difference. Then users will be directed to the publication’s website via the notification, according to The Awl.
The app would allow you to specify what kind of news you want to see notifications from.
It will have the ability to create specific notifications for the mobile platform on behalf of your account on Facebook, which is like a mega-tweet.
There is nearly no media network which has been successful in establishing a well designed mobile phone app which can be rated as equal to Facebook.

These leaked screenshots only represent a few screens within the upcoming app. The main home screen will more than likely act as a clean news reader or a feed of stories and content. The idea here is people already get real-time alerts pushed to their devices from different apps, like Twitter, but Facebook’s Notify would replace them. The micro blogging site launched a a new feature last week called Moments.
