Former Northern Ireland striker David Healy tipped to take over as Linfield
Northern Ireland hero David Healy is set to become the new boss of Linfield.

The Linfield hot-seat was made vacant by the departure of Feeney.
Healy had spells at Manchester United, Preston North End, Leeds United, Fulham, Sunderland, Rangers and Bury, but is best known for his goal scoring exploits on the global stage.
And Northern Ireland’s all-time top scorer was unveiled to fans on Wednesday night ahead of Linfield’s clash with Ballinamallard.
The new manager described accepting the Blues job as a “no-brainer”.
Healy finished with 36 goals for Northern Ireland, including famous goals against England and Spain.
Linfield play against Ballinamallard United tonight, and Healy is expected to be confirmed as their new manager before kick-off, although he won’t officially take charge of the team until their next game.
‘I’m grateful to the club for showing a lot of faith in me.
“To me Windsor Park was my Wembley and to come back here as manager…I just can’t wait to get started”. I’ll be working 24 hours a day’.
His record of 13 goals in a single Euro qualifying campaign in 2008 was matched for the first time at the weekend by Poland’s Robert Lewandowski.
Overseeing his new team last night, though not yet in charge, the striker watched Linfield fall to a late goal by Jonny Lafferty, securing the Fermanagh club a shock 1-0 win.

The Blues dropped two late points against Glentoran on Saturday when Curtis Allen struck an injury time equaliser in the 1-1 derby draw at Windsor.
