Donald Trump Agrees to Stop Using Aerosmith’s ‘Dream On’

As previously reported, Tyler issued a cease and desist against Trump earlier this week.

The Donald used his virtual mouthpiece, Twitter, to express his feelings about having to stop using the Aerosmith classic at his campaign events.

However, in case if Tyler insists on letting Trump “dream on”, here are a few other songs that he can use for his campaign, perhaps. It should be noted that the platinum-blonde frontman also stated Bernie Sanders, one of the Democratic candidates, could use the song as well.

Instead, plan to hear Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” as one of the replacement songs – sung, probably not coincidentally, by Celebrity Apprentice alum Dee Snider.

Aerosmith is mostly anxious that the constant use of the song in the rallies might make supporters of Trump’s candidacy and the general public believe that Aerosmith support him for his claim to presidency. They sincerely want to distance themselves from Trump’s campaign.

The Trump campaign did not respond to CNN request for comment, but said the issue was resolved Monday morning. We’ll have to wait and see which song Trump will use in place of “Dream On”, and whether another artist will take issue with The Donald.

His lawyers sent Trump a cease and desist letter on Saturday – the second they’ve sent so far – stating that use of the song “gives the false impression that [Tyler] is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump’s presidential bid”.
