The former mark was set by Phil Simms who had 40 completions in 1985.
The matchup that favors the Giants is a little trickier with the Giants’ injury situation at wide receiver.
Pugh has played three of the five positions up front in the first 36 games of his career. Manning threw for 246 yards, but the Giants only improved to 2-6. I think this team can make the playoffs, but I don’t see it as a team likely to make a deep playoff run.
