MSU junior guard Alvin Ellis recently tweeted out a photo of the famous Magic Johnson statue, which sits right outside the Breslin Center, pained in Michigan maize. Ahead of the crucial Big Ten showdown, a few Michigan fans decided to make the trip to East Lansing and paint the town maize and blue.
For the first time in a while, both Michigan and Michigan State enter Saturday’s game ranked in the top 15.
MLive.com reports the statue was being cleaned Thursday and vandals also hit the sidewalk along Demonstration Hall Road and an area behind the “Sparty” statue.
