YouTube Gaming update adds mobile gameplay live streaming and recording

Following the platform’s launch in August, the service has added several new features that put it on a par with-and in a few cases beyond-Twitch, making it an enticing place to play games, particularly for channels that are already established in the Let’s Play community.

Twitch may be the top streaming dog when it comes to gaming, but YouTube’s solution is quickly becoming a popular alternative. According to the website’s blog, “Every month gamers watch more than 144 billion minutes of gaming videos and live streams on YouTube”.

With the Live Screencasting and Recording you can record your mobile screen and if you want to, you can live stream it for your fans.

As people usually get bored while playing mobile games, why should they waste time watching others do the same. YouTube Gaming’s sponsorships are $3.99 per month, and Google says that the majority of that sponsorship goes to the creator. You heard it from us at the Tokyo Game Show and now it’s here to stay.

Updated YouTube Gaming applications for Apple and Android powered mobile devices were released on Thursday in Britain and the United States. United States online retail giant Amazon past year snatched up Twitch and its huge audience for live-streamed gaming.
