Prime Minister’s visit to Karachi postponed
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was visiting Karachi to express sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims of the deadly heatwave in the metropolis.

The Prime Minister was informed that more than 65000 patients reported in Karachi hospitals during this period out of which about 1250 lost their lives.
The federal and provincial governments are under fire for inability to effectively dealing with the crisis. He also said that the meeting was positive and the premier extended full support for the Sindh government. He said that the prime minster is keen in resolving every issue related to Karachi. Prominent singer Shahzad Roy, Karamat Ali of Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER), and NGOs approached the court, naming Ministry of Water and Power Secretary, Ministry of Climate Change, National Disaster Management Authority, National Electric Power Regularity Authority (NEPRA), Sindh chief secretary and others as respondents.
