Sixth “Die Hard” Movie Is in the Works, with Young John McClane
These new plans for the franchise sound like they’re replacing the version of Die Hard 6 that was rumored previous year.

Don’t worry though, Bruce Willis will still return to play the character that turned him into one of the biggest action movie stars of all time. He’s not on officially on board, but Willis is reportedly apprised of any developments of the next feature.
The film is still to find a screenwriter.
While di Bonaventura is Paramount-based, he’s involved here because Fox sought to convert one of his project into a Die Hard movie (same as was done with Die Hard: With A Vengeance, which came from a spec script titled Simon Says). Wiseman, who helmed 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard, will likely direct Die Hard 6. There have been rumors circling about a Die Hard 6 movie for awhile, but it seems to have recently picked up a little more steam. Willis isn’t totally locked in yet, but he’s stayed in the loop throughout the whole process so there’s no reason to think he won’t return.
How appropriate that a franchise called Die Hard simply refuses to die. The previous rumours told a different story about what the film might showcase. Now, we can look forward to a few new young actor squinting his way through trips to the explosion factor and deploying his best Bruce Willis impression to crack wise at a bunch of winking hints to the original film. It’s not clear if the Die Hard 6 movie will draw from that material, or whether it’ll be its own thing separate from the comic books.

The last instalment in the franchise was A Good Day to Die Hard and it grossed $304 million worldwide.
