Marshawn Lynch: Marshawn Lynch ‘should be ready to go’ Week 6

Carroll said Major League Baseball Bobby Wagner will be day-to-day and that his status for Sunday’s game against Carolina at CenturyLink Field likely won’t be decided until game time after he suffered an injury of his pectoral muscle against the Bengals.

Wagner left the game but returned and continued playing, although it is still unclear if he will play against the Panthers. However, reports following the game suggested the injury was severe enough it could force Wagner to miss time.

Prior to starting drills, head coach Pete Carroll stated that he expects Lynch to practice in full Thursday, which backs up Carroll’s belief that the running back “should be ready to go” Sunday against the Panthers. The Seahawks also recognized his value and locked up Wagner with a $43 million, four-year contract extension before this season.

“He should be ready to go”, Carroll said of Lynch, who has 128 yards on 38 carries this season. “He’s determined to play, he wants to play and he thinks he can, but we won’t know until we get there”. “I feel like to shine on this defense you really have to be special”. Wright moving would depend on the health of backup Kevin Pierre-Louis, who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. “If something happens it’s all on the middle linebacker. But he might be able to play this week too, so we’ll wait and see”. “You just have to make the calls and get everybody lined up”, Wright said.

While it would be hard for Lynch owners to hold him out for another week it’s no given that Beast Mode is going to play like Beast Mode this week. The other option for the Seahawks would be for Brock Coyle to start in place of Wagner, with Wright staying in his usual spot. Moody could play if Wagner can’t and Wright moves inside. “It’s something we’ve been emphasizing and eventually one day it’s going to stop”.
