Exuberant Toronto Blue Jays enter MLB’s final four
The Blue Jays experienced every bit of drama and controversy a team could have in any series before dropping the Texas Rangers 6-3 in Game 5.

Pillar led the team with a. 412 batting average through the first four games of the series and had a third-best OPS of 1.118.
The wild seventh inning between the Blue Jays and Rangers is getting its own TV special.
Bautista has played in Major League Baseball for 11 seasons and hit 40 home runs in the regular season while maintaining a batting average of 0.250.
The close call has the Blue Jays reviewing the sale of cans of beer, while Toronto Police have launched a #fanetiquette campaign on social media after fans flooded the playing arena with rubbish, forcing players to frantically attempt quell the crowd.
“I was looking for something up”, Bautista said.
Before Odor reached home plate, though, Scott threw up his arms and called a dead ball, negating the run and sending the runner back to third. Martin tried to throw the ball back to pitcher Aaron Sanchez, but it hit Choo’s bat and ricocheted toward third base. Rios is batting. 286 with a couple RBIs through five ALDS games for Kansas City, Bautista has hit two homers and driven in five runs through five post-season games with the Jays and Encarnacion has a. 333 post-season batting average with three RBIs. Not only did it have the freakish run that scored when Jays catcher Russell Martin’s throw back to the pitcher ricocheted off Shin-Soo Choo’s bat while he stood in the batter’s box, but it also had a go-ahead home run by Jose Bautista that included what is perhaps the greatest bat-flip of all-time.
“I told Edwin it just can’t happen, it needs to stop”, Dyson said.
That’s how it went for most of the game.
In a game marked a freaky event and a defensive collapse by their opponents, the Blue Jays defeated the Texas Rangers 6-3 in their quarter-final playoff round, officially known as the American League Division Series.
While the gut-punching finish cost them a trip to their third AL Championship Series in six seasons, the Rangers exceeded the expectations of many in a season that began after ace Yu Darvish was lost to Tommy John surgery in spring training.
The Rangers went ahead in the top seventh on a weird play, with Choo in the thick of it. Donaldson’s blooper tied the game, and Jose Bautista capped the comeback with a long three-run homer, emphatically flipping his bat almost as high in the air.

He said it was disappointing that the Rangers failed to hold on to the lead that the freaky play provided, as shortstop Elvis Andrus committed two of the three errors in the bottom seventh.
