‘Aggressive’ China, Russian Federation Pose ‘Serious Security Concerns’, Says USA Military

Dempsey scolds Iran, which is in the midst of negotiating a deal with Washington to limit its nuclear program, for being a “state-sponsor of terrorism that has undermined stability in many nations, including Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen”.

Thomson ReutersKremlin spokesman Peskov arrives for the opening of the Army-2015 worldwide Military-Technical Forum in Kubinka, outside Moscow, RussiaMOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian Federation said on Thursday a new USA military strategy was confrontational and wouldn’t help improve relations with Moscow.

“However, these advantages are being challenged”, it acknowledged.

United States planners especially needed to be concerned about the proliferation of ballistic missiles, unmanned systems, space and cyber capabilities, and weapons of mass destruction, the strategy paper explained. This is a euphemism for USA imperialist hegemony over the entire planet, where Washington makes the rules and everyone follows, or else. “China has responded with aggressive land reclamation efforts that will allow it to position military forces astride vital worldwide sea lanes”, Dempsey said in the statement.

“In this context, the 2015 strategy recognizes that success will increasingly depend on how well our military instrument supports the other instruments of national power and how it enables our network of allies and partners”, Dempsey said.

And the report expresses concern about states developing advanced technological capabilities that are causing the USA military to lose its edge in that field. We will strengthen our alliances with Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand.

“We also will deepen our security relationship with India and build upon our partnerships with New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh”, Dempsey added.

It goes on to list the specific nature of the challenges posed by each individual state. “As a result, future conflicts between states may prove to be unpredictable, costly, and hard to control”.

“Since the last National Military Strategy was published four years ago, global disorder has trended upward while some of our comparative advantages have begun to erode”, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey said releasing the strategy on Wednesday at the Pentagon. “Should one occur, however, the consequences would be vast”.

The perspective outlined by the Pentagon document may be mad, envisioning as it does a world war between nuclear-armed powers, but this madness is rooted in very real, objective conditions. It also highlights how the diffusion of military technology will make it more hard for the United States military to maintain its technological edge. That solution is world socialist revolution.
