Confirmed: Mark Ruffalo Will Bring the Hulk to Thor: Ragnarok
One way this could be achieved is by adding The Hulk to the mix.

Deadline reports that Marvel is nearing a deal with Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo will be co-star in Thor: Ragnarok, which should lead to a very interesting storyline in Thor’s third film starring Chris Hemsworth.
Of course, putting the Hulk in space in Thor 3 lines up perfectly with the long-expected trajectory of the character – placing him in an eventual Planet Hulk movie of his own, based on the popular comic story. We look forward to finding out how the Hulk will be involved in Thor: Ragnarok’s story.
Are you excited about the Thor: Ragnarok Hulk addition?

Could this be the starting point for an eventual Planet Hulk movie? The pair last appeared in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, wherein Hulk was mind-controlled and fought Iron Man. It features a screenplay by Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World) and Craig Kyle (producer on previous two Thor films), and will continue the cliffhanger ending of Thor: The Dark World wherein it was revealed that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) has secretly taken the Asgardian throne in guise of his adoptive father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). This leads well into him showing up in Thor: Ragnarok away from Earth. Fans have been clamoring for more Hulk since Ruffalo made his MCU debut in the first Avengers, and while a standalone movie doesn’t seem to be in the cards just yet, it seems quite possible he’ll emerge as a key player in Ragnarok the way Black Widow did in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Production on Thor: Ragnarok begins next year for release on November 3, 2017.
