“It’s coming to an end”, proclaims the official logline for Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, the sixth and supposedly final installment in Blumhouse’s low-budget, astronomically profitable horror franchise.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension follows a young couple who discovers an old camera and footage left behind by their home’s previous owners. A huge part of the tension and suspense came from not being able to see the demons but only hear them, at least until they slammed a door or threw stuff around. These questions have been teased out. AMC Theatres, Cineplex Entertainment, Landmark Theatres, Alamo Drafthouse and National Amusements have said they will.

Back when we first saw the original Paranormal Activity… way before Paramount had even heard of it… we never thought it would be turned into a franchise.

Editor of the past four “Paranormal Activity” films, Gregory Plotkin, is now at the helm juicing up the scares in this movie which presents a new family, a new house, and the pure terror of finding old cameras and tapes in a box.
